Alicia Whyte is a fun-loving, classy, consciously cool soccer player who spent her high school years at Bloomfield High School, in the cozy town of Bloomfield in Connecticut. The attacking midfielder can be seen in light moments having a laugh with her friends Blake and Jalah.

3rd Eye FC’s box to box midfielder isn’t all fun and games when she steps on the field.

Helping her team Busy Bees, clinch the inaugural Hartford Lioness League on the grounds of the University of Hartford, the pocket rocket scored 4 goals in 5 games, netting some screamers along the way. When asked about her most memorable moment in her soccer career, she recounts her time as a young player at CCSA, “ we were playing an older team, they were an established premier team. They had just scored. I anticipated that my teammates would pass me the ball. I took it, turned and dribbled by three players, and just hit it, it was a 30-yard screamer. We lost that game 1–5 but that moment stays with me.”

What Motivates you?

I am motivated to succeed because I don’t want to have to worry about not having what I need. I want to live comfortably.

What is your favorite TV Show?

I don’t watch TV.

What are your career goals?

Although I’m studying design at Willmington University, I have a passion for making movies. I also want to own a gym open to all because I believe in being fit. Another goal is to open a gym specifically for women who want to work out while feeling safe. Some women want to work out in a gym but don’t feel safe because of the way women are sometimes treated by men.

What is one achievement that stands out to you?

I was on the first female Bloomfield High School soccer team to qualify for states!

Achievements:

  • Honor Student.
  • Member of the National & Spanish Honor Societies.
  • All conference soccer, indoor and outdoor track athlete.
  • Three-sport athlete.
  • Captain of Bloomfield High School Soccer team, leading her team to its first state play-off.
  • Member of the Bloomfield High School record 4*8 team
  • Bloomfield High School male soccer team manager.

Described by her peers as hardworking and tenacious, Alicia owes some of her qualities to her Jamaican roots. Alicia has a connection with Hanover, Jamaica, through her father. The Manchester United supporter can be considered a true lover of the sport who can achieve both on and off the field of play. Alicia Whyte is consciously cool. 3rd Eye FC wishes her all the best in her pursuits.
