Deidre Wheeler is a tenacious striker from Springfield Massachusetts. Her love for the game has seen her travel from east to west coast just for the love of the game. The 3rd Eye FC ace is in her late 20’s now and reflects fondly on her time as a semi-pro player.

Memorable Soccer Moment
At 18 D, as she is affectionately called, started her semi-pro soccer journey. She was first spotted at 16, by New England MUNITY. She lights up as she recalls scored the winning goal in the final in her first season. She recounts the euphoria of the moment. “I can’t remember all the details. I just know I was so excited.”
I took six years off playing soccer because my mother passed away. Though my dad was my first coach and main supporter. When my mom passed he took it hard and drifted from the game. I drifted with him.
Founded in 1977, the ODP is designed to improve the overall level of soccer from the ground up. Deidre honed her craft in her formative years with other young ladies.
