It’s 6:30 a.m. The sun is creeping up over the towering trees surrounding the Bloomfield High School track. The blue track and white lines are barely visible. Three silhouettes can be seen laboring around the turf soccer field.

Jalah Turner, a freshman at Wilmington University, Newcastle, Delaware is a hard-working defensive striker with 3rd Eye F.C. The versatile striker can be deployed in a variety of positions with equal competence. The Chelsea F.C. supporter helped her team to the inaugural Hartford Lioness League championship with some strong performances in defense while regularly linking up with the attack.

The modern game asks players to play both sides of the game well, and that includes strikers. Jalah is well equipped to play the pressing game where ball recovery is important. She is also a good passer of the ball which helps her team to maintain possession and build an attack.
Career Goals
“I’m not 100% sure but I’d like to pursue something in the field of law; something paralegal.”
Jalah is self-motivated, a trait she learned from family members who have been supportive in her pursuits. Our defensive striker is fun loving, the life of the party, and must be credited for maintaining a 3.92 GPA while studying Criminal Justice.
